Northern Rockies Outfitters, Ltd. is owned and operated by Rich and Marcy Birdsell.
Rich has been roaming the mountains and riverbanks of Montana for most of his life. He has hunted and fished all over the western U.S., Canada, and Alaska. He graduated from the University of Montana in 1990 with a B.S. in health and physical education. Rich started Northern Rockies Outfitters in 1995.
Besides the fishing and hunting guiding, he also is the fly fishing host for Columbia Country television series.
Rich is a member of Montana Outfitters and Guides Association (MOGA), Trout Unlimited, SCI and is an outfitter member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Mule Deer Foundation.
Rich is also an enrolled member of the Fort Belknap Indian nation. He and Marcy have two children, daughter Madison (8) and son Jackson (5). They make their home on the Flathead River, just outside of Kalispell, Montana.
