 We operate our hunts in three separate locations; the Cascade Ranch, the West Butte Ranch and the Lewis & Clark National Forest (near East Glacier Park). The Cascade Ranch near Cascade, Montana is a beautiful property located on the northern edge of the Big Belt Mountains. I have leased the hunting rights here for thirteen years. It is a wildlife mecca. There are good populations of mule deer, whitetail, elk, bear, and antelope. The West Butte Ranch is a large mountainous property that borders Alberta, Canada in western Montana. The quality of the hunting here is unparalleled. We hunt elk during archery season with great success. The deer hunting is world class. Whether pursuing the massive mountain mulies or hunting the giant whitetails, the trophy potential is as good as it gets. The hunting country between both ranches covers nearly 50,000 acres. I am once again offering archery elk hunts in the Lewis & Clark National Forest near East Glacier. The September elk hunting here is awesome.

2009 Summary;
 The archery elk/deer combo hunts were excellent. We shot nice bulls and some exceptional deer on both ranches. We took 7 archery bucks and I believe all will qualify for the Pope & Young record book. Shot opportunities on elk were 80 percent. We shot 7 bulls. The largest bull we took is the best we've killed in 14 years. He measured 370 inches (P & Y). Some guys had bulls within bow range every day.
Although the West Butte Ranch is showing us larger herd bulls in recent years, the Cascade Ranch still has the biggest bulls. However, the deer/elk archery combo hunt at the West Butte Ranch remains our most popular hunt.
For the traditional horseback hunt high in the Rockies, The National Forest hunt is perfect. These hunts are based at Rising Wolf Ranch (www.risingwolfranch.com) near East Glacier. This area borders Glacier National Park, the continental divide, and the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.
The deer hunting continues to be outstanding. This is the result of good moisture in recent years and careful management. The truly big Mule Deer made it through the season without getting shot. We missed four of the biggest deer on the West Butte Ranch. The good news is, I believe we'll have many big mature bucks next fall! The biggest mule deer taken were near 170 B&C. The Cascade Ranch produced a couple of good whitetail as always.
